Joining the prestigious Gram-Negative Antibiotic Discovery Innovator (Gr-ADI) Consortium!

We just returned from Munich, Germany, where we were involved in the kick-off meeting of the unique and exciting Gr-ADI consortium co-founded by the Gates Foundation, Novo Nordisk Foundation, and Wellcome Trust. Our $2 million grant, in collaboration with other FSU labs headed by Xiangpeng Li, Kristina Håkansson, Ryan Rodgers, and Rob Spencer, will focus on the discovery of novel antibiotics from soil microbes for the treating the highly-resistant human pathogen Klebsiella pneumoniae. This global consortium is built around 23 projects, including ours, and we are excited to see where it leads us!
